Call customer service. Depending upon when you got her they will offer either an exchange or a free trip to the doll hospital. I believe that AG has a 6 month exchange policy, and free doll hospital from 6 months to 1 year after purchase. So all Nellie's could still be exchanged.
We had the same problem with our Molly, but didn't report it until we had had her for 10 months. We had to pay for shipping to the doll hospital, but the repair was free. It looked to me like they were able to fix the eye without a head replacement. Our Molly had a scuff mark on her face, and came back from the hospital with the same mark.
Both of my dds new dolls, Nellie and Kirsten also have a lazy eye. Frustrating, but they are already attached to them.
Both of them also have very loose limbs.

You need to call AG, or return Nellie to AG and get another.
Thankd Guys !!! I'll do as soon as I can.

Nikki - My Nellie has an eye that wants to close before the other but it was not bad enough for me to want to exchange her, but when I called to see if they would only put in a new eye, I was told my only option was to exchange her.. I had already gotten attached to her and it was not bad enough for me to send her off, so I kept her. : )
GillyGal I agree with you 100% its not that bad, I have become attached to my Nellie as well. It's not all that bad. I'm not getting rid of her just for that.

It is hard to send a doll back, isnt it Nikki? I have had two bad dolls come to me.. one was my Nellie I was telling you about.. the other was my Josephina.. she had a glob of white dried wig glue in her hair in the back, but I was able to get it out. I had already loved these dolls by the time the replacements arrived.. My mom bought the replacement Nellie and I sent the replacement Josephina back with a note telling them that she was the 2nd one and not to send her to the 'museum'..
My Nellie has a lazy eye as well!! She also is not strung as tight as my Samantha doll. But I cant part with her - the little imperfections are what makes her mine.
